I’m Anne-Marie, it’s great to meet you

I founded The Spark because I’m passionate about doing L&D differently.

With over 20 years of experience helping businesses, teams, and leaders build the knowledge, skills, and mindset needed for success, I’ve learned how to get to the root of performance challenges, and what really works to solve them.

Impactful L&D isn’t just about training. It’s about creating an environment where people can do their best work by removing barriers, being clear about what success looks like, and equipping them with the right tools. It’s a blend of digital solutions, meaningful conversations, and performance support, designed to be scalable, flexible, and quick to deliver. Most importantly, they need to work.

As an innovative L&D and performance specialist, agile practitioner, and product-focused thinker, I put creativity, innovation, and agility at the heart of everything I do. Let’s explore how we can work together to solve your people and performance challenges.

What we do

  • Consultancy Projects

    Are your people asking for growth and development opportunities and you’re wondering where to start? Are you thinking about starting L&D from scratch? Are you swamped and need extra capacity? Do you need a specialist for a particular project?

    We partner with existing People and L&D teams, or work independently to complete projects.

    Some recent examples include designing an onboarding experience, skills mapping and procuring large scale development programmes.

  • Facilitation

    Do you need an expert to guide a team or group of people to an outcome? You need a facilitator!

    Team days, training workshops, strategy sessions, skill spotlights, leadership alignment experiences, you name it, we’ve done it.

    Anne-Marie is an Insights Licensed Practitioner. Insights is a great tool for raising self awareness, understanding your personal impact, influencing and relationship building. It can be completed 121, with in-tact teams or as part of a wider development programme.

  • Leadership & Management development

    Have you promoted people into leadership or management positions, but haven’t yet given them the skills or knowledge they need to be successful? Do they come to HR with things they should be able to handle? Is your turnover or absence higher than you’d like?

    Once we understand what great leadership looks like for you (we can help you articulate that if you haven’t already!), we build the mindset, skillset and toolkit that’s needed for success through great learning experiences.

  • Coaching

    When tailored, focussed personal support is just what you need, we offer 121 coaching support to leaders, managers and HR professionals.

    You can access this in one-off sessions, or in packages. It’s all tailored to you.

    We also coach teams, and you’ll see a coaching approach throughout our work.
